Here is the virgo. Haven't taken the time to check out the characteristics of the sign but I'm sure they are lovely people!!

Geeky

Internet dating, a geek's dream come true. I have nothing about the concept but when you think about it. How geeky is that?!!
This guy can even type with his feet! What a set up!

Sign - Sagittarius

The archer. Apparently he is often associated with the Centaur, hence the horse tail! I'm getting so good at this!
Let me go back to the wikipedia... Here you are... Apparently they are good at everything science, they have a quick mind, they care about others....Great people!

Sign - Taurus

Here is the taurus. I'm learning about the signs as I go as I've never really been into astrology and horoscope. Apparently the taurus is calm and controlled but can erupt in an amazing fury when pushed too hard! Oh la la... scary!
The more I learn the more I think I should have been born Scorpio... that's saying something! Was born pisces instead. I think it means dreamy and womanly... I'm a bit of that but with a propension for very bad temper!! Hi hi hi

Another French national... this time playing twister.
I have never actually played the game as it wasn't very big in France but it must exist over there. This guy found it!

My Paradise

My Paradise is by the sea on the South Coast of NSW. We go there to relax. I love when the wind is up. It's wonderful!

got tagged by Kstyles. I did a bit of research and found that seems to be a IF tradition!

So here we go. 7 facts about me.

1) I am a bit of a globe trotter. I was born and grew up in France and then lived in Italy, England, Spain and I'm currently living in Australia.

2) The thing I hate the most:cooking. Takes time away from everything else!!

3) I have a maltese called Punkie. She is usually on my lap when I draw... which obviously makes it a bit harder.

4) I love Red. Red shoes, red handbag, red laptop bag, red diary....

5) I like drawing characters rather than sceneries

6) Started drawing again about 2 years ago. I had stopped pretty much 10 years earlier when I started uni.

7) I am married to the most amazing man on the planet!

Well, well, well, well... I must say that despite all the modern technology remembering appointments and commitments remains tricky! I use my mobile for notes and meeting, my computer to tell me when I have to go and my alarm clock (only stopped recently writing things in the palm of my hand!) but still manage to be late or forget important things!! How about you?

Polar

It seems that lately I can't finish anything on time. Here is my illo. Not quite finished but nearly there. The idea was that with the current melting of the ice in the polar regions the bears had better learn to swim and be prepared! My illo for Crash would have worked too for this week's theme.

Fortune

Fortune, good or bad, is a matter of timing. Not sure it was the right time to rub that lamp!!

I spy

I was working on my first psychedelic piece when this week's topic came up. Made me think of Austin Power! Do you see the link now? Not happy with the result so far but I'm running out of time!

James TOTALled his car. The garage lent him a tiny car in which he was TOTALly squeezd. He stopped at the TOTAL petrol station and paid a TOTAL of $10.

Love the concept of the electric car. Plug it in over night and off you go!! A bit retro thus the rendering!!

Couldn't help it!! My teenage step-kids show such lack of common sense I had to illustrate it!! Those of you surrounded by teenagers might understand what I'm talking about...

Communication

Friends of my sister got killed at the beginning of the week in Saudi. I had met one of them. He was just a normal guy. An excellent school teacher that my niece loved dearly. The communication breakdown with the fundamentalists has brought an end to his life and a halt to his kids' and wife's. He was gunned down in front of them. I couldn't draw anything on this subject so I'm just posting the illustration I first intended to post but that's really what occupied my mind at the time. Communication is the key to most problems around us and in the world, we all know it. Why can't we just talk things through....

Gravity

Sprouts

As we say in French: BEURKKKKKK!!!!
To me sprouts will always be associated with Brussels Sprouts, a delicacy that my mother used to cook at least once a year.
I hated it. Used to spend hours in front of my plate. "You won't go to bed until you've finished your dinner!" I can still hear it!
To this day I still won't go anywhere near the stuff!!!

Here is my illustration for Red. My husband travels to China a lot so I thought about communism as soon as I saw this subject.

I have been away a fair bit with no scanner or internet around. Just trying to catch up on the illustration friday challenge.

80's

80's was the era I grew up in. I used to watch this cute cartoon called Barbapapa. It was created in the 70's but I grew up with it so assumed that was ok.
The characters could change shape and they were all made of fairly bright colours.
